Elimu Carnival Band formed in 1980 and have taken part in the Notting Hill Carnival every year since then.

DAME JOCELYN BARROW
Jocelyn was the first black woman to serve as a governor of the BBC. She was Deputy Chair of the Broadcasting Standards Council.

ROSALIND HOWELLS
Ros is a Labour member of the House of Lords. She was made a Life peer as Baroness Howells of St Davids.

HERMAN OUSELEY
Herman led the Commission for Racial Equality, the ILEA , Kick Out Racism and the London Borough of Lambeth.

REV PATRICIA STEPHENS
The Reverend Mother Stephens is an academic, community activist and celebrant and advocate of the Spiritual Baptist Faith in the UK.
